Classic Annapurna Circuit Trek

Explore Nepal's Most Legendary Trekking Route

The Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho Lake is one of Nepal's most celebrated trekking adventures and is consistently ranked among the finest long-distance treks in the world. Combining dramatic Himalayan landscapes, diverse cultures, high mountain passes, and the stunning Tilicho Lake, this journey offers an unparalleled trekking experience through the heart of the Annapurna region.

The trek circles the magnificent Annapurna Massif, traversing a remarkable range of climatic zones—from subtropical forests and terraced farmlands to alpine meadows, arid valleys, and high-altitude deserts resembling the Tibetan Plateau. Along the way, trekkers encounter traditional villages inhabited by Gurung, Ghale, Manangi, and Thakali communities, each offering unique cultural experiences and warm Himalayan hospitality.

A major highlight of this adventure is the excursion to Tilicho Lake (4,919 m), one of the highest lakes in the world. Surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks, the turquoise waters of Tilicho create one of the most spectacular alpine landscapes in the Himalayas.

The trek's highest point is the legendary Thorong La Pass (5,416 m), one of the world's highest trekking passes. Crossing the pass rewards trekkers with breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges before descending to the sacred pilgrimage site of Muktinath.

Throughout the journey, trekkers are treated to magnificent views of some of Nepal's most iconic mountains, including:

  • Annapurna I (8,091 m)
  • Dhaulagiri (8,167 m)
  • Manaslu (8,163 m)
  • Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) (6,993 m)
  • Tilicho Peak (7,134 m)
  • Pisang Peak (6,091 m)
  • Himal Chuli (7,893 m)
  • Gangapurna (7,455 m)

The trail follows both the Marshyangdi and Kali Gandaki river valleys, including sections of the Kali Gandaki Gorge, often recognized as the world's deepest gorge. With its incredible diversity of scenery, culture, and natural beauty, the Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho Lake remains one of Nepal's most rewarding Himalayan adventures.
